When you contact Gold, Lange & Majoros, P.C. to discuss the possibility of filing for bankruptcy or working out an agreement with your creditors, our staff will schedule a free initial consultation for you with one of our qualified bankruptcy attorneys. At that consultation, the attorney will discuss your financial situation with you and be able to present you with your options for dealing with your debt. The attorney will also be able to advise you about potential issues that could arise from each option.

If you decide to file for bankruptcy, we will schedule an appointment for you with one of our paralegals who will type up your bankruptcy documents based upon the information you have provided. You will be required to bring with you specific documentation relating to your income, assets, and debts. Please click on "Required Documents" in the left-hand menu to view the documentation you will need.

Once your bankruptcy documents have been prepared, they will be reviewed by our attorneys for accuracy and potential issues that may not have been revealed at the initial consultation. We will then schedule a signing appointment for you with one of our attorneys at which any issues particular to your case will be discussed, your bankruptcy documents will receive a final review by you and the attorney, and you will sign the documents so that they can be filed with the bankruptcy court.

What happens next will depend upon the type of bankruptcy case you are filing. Our attorneys will thoroughly prepare you for the next steps and will be available to discuss any concerns you have throughout the bankruptcy process.
